PG and Research Department of Commerce

The department of Commerce was introduced in the year 2008. This college was established by Bharathidasan University in the name of the Bharathidasan University Constituent College. In the year 2019 this college was converted into Government Arts and Science College. The Department of Commerce offers B.Com, M.Com and Ph.D (Full Time and Part Time) and the department has got the permanent affiliation from the Bharathidasan University, Trichy to offer these courses. The department has two regular faculties, three guest lectures and hourly basis guest lecturer appointed by Bharathidasan University. All the faculty members are qualified as per the UGC norms.
Faculties of this department have published the large number of research articles in the reputed national and international indexed journals, including Scopus indexed and UGC Care listed journals. Faculty members of this department participated and presented the research papers in the various national and international conferences organised by the reputed institutions across the country. Regular faculty members of this department have visited the few foreign countries to participate and presented the research articles in the international conferences. Department of Commerce organised the numbers seminars, workshop and invited lectures for the benefit of the students. This department is very vibrant in focusing the research activities so far 12 students completed the Ph.D, 03 students submitted the thesis and 08 students pursuing the Ph.D in this department.
